Responsible Play
Poker is a game to enjoy and to learn. If it ever stops being fun, these are the signs to watch and the places to get help.

PokerChart VIP exists to teach poker as a game of skill and strategy. We don't offer real-money play — but many people who learn here will play for money elsewhere, so it matters to us that you do it safely. Gambling should always be entertainment you can afford, never a way to make money or escape problems.
The ground rules
- 18+ only. Never play for money under the legal age where you live.
- Set a budget before you play — an amount you're completely comfortable losing — and stop when it's gone.
- Set a time limit too, and take regular breaks.
- Never chase losses. Trying to win back money is how small losses become big ones.
- Don't play to escape stress, or while upset, tired, or under the influence.
- It isn't income. Treat any winnings as a bonus, not a plan.
Warning signs
It may be time to step back if you notice yourself:
- spending more time or money than you intended;
- chasing losses or borrowing money to play;
- lying about how much you play;
- feeling anxious, guilty, or unable to stop;
- letting play affect work, sleep, or relationships.
Tools that help
Most licensed operators offer deposit limits, time reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. Turning these on early is a sign of a smart player, not a weak one.
Where to get help
Support is free, confidential and available 24/7 in most regions:
- BeGambleAware — free advice and support (UK): begambleaware.org.
- GamCare — helpline and live chat (UK): gamcare.org.uk.
- National Council on Problem Gambling (US) — call or text 1-800-522-4700, or chat at ncpgambling.org.
- Gamblers Anonymous — peer support meetings worldwide: gamblersanonymous.org.
If you're outside these regions, search for your national problem-gambling helpline — most countries have one.
